In its third and final donation for 2022, the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) in St. George, Utah, funded the distribution of firewood earlier this month to elderly and disabled members of the Navajo Mountain community.

Page Middle School student Nyal Prather placed 8th at the Spartan Warrior Kids World Championships in Florida on Dec. 10. Prather was one of 60 boys ages 12-14 competing in the race.

Michael Long Sr. of Page has been sentenced to life in prison on one count of child molestation, two counts of sexual conduct with a minor and five counts of sexual assault. He was convicted of the charges during a trial in October.

Archers from throughout the region gathered at the Page Shooting Range on Aug. 19 for a 3D archery shoot. The event was a fundraiser for Spencer Barnum, a 9-year-old member of the Page 4-H Archery Club who was diagnosed with leukemia in September.
