On Tuesday January 31, 2023, Angie Maddux, 85, returned to her heavenly home to reunite with her beloved husband Norman. She passed away in Benson, Arizona.

Maude Angeline, “Angie,” was born on December 19, 1937, in Chloride, Arizona to Henry Elder Wester and Lydia Ann Williams. She grew up in Kingman, Arizona, and married her high school sweetheart Norman Maddux in 1953. They created a loving home for their four children. She graduated from the University of Arizona and taught in elementary and middle schools for many years, primarily in Kingman and Page, Arizona. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend and teacher, and a woman of strong faith and conviction. She and Norman served as senior missionaries in Anchorage, Alaska, and in Salt Lake City, Utah. In her later years, she valiantly fought cancer and lived well beyond what doctors had even remotely hoped for.

She is survived by her four children: Hank Maddux, Nora Brown, Mark Maddux and Pamela Hone. Additionally, she was blessed with 13 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday February 25, 2023, at 10 a.m. at Chapel for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 3180 Rutherford Dr., Kingman. In lieu of flowers, consider donating to the Kingman Cancer Unit, which helped her many times through her battles with cancer (kingmancancercareunit.com/Donation/).
