William Otis Hargraves, 75, passed away in February 2018 in his home in Page, Ariz., while surrounded by loved ones. William, known to many as Bill, was born on February 22, 1942 in Milan, Wisconsin to Woodrow and Sylvia Hargraves.
Bill is survived by his wife of 56 years, Linda Hargraves, sons Timothy Hargraves and Jeffrey Hargraves, daughter Rachel Hargraves, daughter-in-law Shawna Hargraves, sisters Shirley Culver and Eileen Sorber, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In 1961, Bill moved from Wisconsin to Phoenix, AZ and on December 29th of that same year he married Linda Diane Grimm. Three years later, Bill became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was known as a zealous preacher, dependable, trustworthy and honest. He was a man with a strong faith.
Bill worked for UPS for 34 years. He spent 11 of those years in Phoenix before moving his family to Page, AZ in 1974.
So whether it was as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses or to deliver a package to your home, Bill has probably knocked on your door.
Bill was very active in his congregation for many years. He also loved the outdoors, both on the lake and in the mountains. In recent years, he enjoyed spending his time with his grandchildren.
A memorial service will be given at 5:30 pm on February 23, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Page, AZ.
Special thanks to the Hospice nurse that cared for Bill for her love and compassion and to the many friends that were with Bill during his battle with cancer.
Bill was greatly loved and will be missed by many!
