The Navajo Police Department confirmed that Gregory Aguero was arrested at 4:20 p.m. on Nov. 26. Aguero, 27, from Kaibeto was arrested on tribal aggravated assault charges. The investigation into the shooting continues to be investigated by the Navajo Division of Public Safety Criminal Investigation Section and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.

On Nov. 24 in the Kaibeto, Arizona, community, the Navajo Police Department received a report. Someone was shot.
Navajo Police found a deceased male with a single gunshot wound. The Division of Public Safety Department of Criminal Investigations in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation is investigating the incident.
“At this time, a person of interest has been identified as a Gregory Aguero. Aguero is currently being sought for questioning in reference to this shooting,” according to Navajo Police.
