Page Animal Hospital has launched boarding services for dogs and cats at its location at 87 South 7th Avenue in Page.
“PAH Boarding Services offers a professional, full service, butt-wigglin’ fun, and safe place to board your doggie(s) and kitties,” the hospital said in a press statement last week. “We provide loving care when you're not there. Come sit, play, eat, repeat, with us! Only the best for your fur-baby.”
The boarding service is offered at the same facility as Page Animal Hospital, which has temporarily suspended veterinarian services as it searches for a new, full-time veterinarian. The hospital is offering a $5,000 reward to anyone who refers a full-time veterinarian to work at the facility.
“Page Animal Hospital has previously provided a pet boarding service, but due to increased demand upon the PAH veterinarian services, accommodation became very limited for pet boarding,” Lynda Marpole, PA to the hospital’s director and CEO, Cami Cotter, told Lake Powell Chronicle by email.
“If/when veterinarian services resume and the pet boarding service at that time shows to be highly profitable, we will work to continue the pet boarding service either on a smaller scale, or search for alternative accommodation.”
The primary caregiver of the pet boarding service is Page native T.C. Holman, who began working for Page Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant in the hospital, and in the pet boarding facility, while still in high school more than 16 years ago.
Page Animal Hospital Boarding Service is open Monday through Friday, 7:30-11 a.m. and 4-6 p.m., and closed on Saturday and Sunday.
