The Page Lake Powell Chamber of Commerce (48 S. Lake Powell Blvd.) is the collection point for people or businesses that want to donate gift certificates or small items to the families whose homes were destroyed by fire over the weekend. A fundraiser and silent auction will also be held in the parking lot of Windy Mesa in Page on Saturday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. On June 18 at approximately 10 p.m., Page Fire Department responded to the call for the house fire. Upon arrival, firefighters were presented with an incredibly wind-driven fire of two fully involved structures, two vehicles and a camper trailer. All occupants and pets made it out safely, and no injuries were reported. Firefighters maintained defensive efforts on scene for approximately 5.5 hours. The cause of the fire is currently undetermined.
