Ethel E. Davenport, until recently a resident of Page passed away on March 31, 2014 during the early morning hours. She passed peacefully in her sleep at the Desert Willow Assisted Living Home in Cave Creek.
She worked for Jim Stubbs at the Lake Powell Chronicle when the town was still young, shortly after moving there. She then went to Wal-Mart where she retired after 20 years. Prior to Page, she lived in Williams where she had worked at the hospital until it closed. Prior to that time, she was an army wife of 23 years. She was married to her husband for almost 62 years.
She is survived by her husband, Floyd Davenport; and sons Michael of Phoenix, and Clinton of Flagstaff. Services will be held at 10 a.m. on April 10, 2014 in Phoenix at the Samaritan Funeral Home, 1505 E. McDowell Road.
