If you see employees at various Page businesses tapping their feet or dancing about with uncontrollable smiles on their faces, or the person in the car next to you at a stop light busting out a wicked air drum solo on the steering wheel, it’s the radio station’s fault.
KXAZ radio turned the tables and instead of the people in Page listening to the radio, the radio station listened to the people and launched a new music platform for their FM station on March 29.
According to KXAZ/Lake Powell Communications owner Janet Brown, the radio station handed out a survey to everyone who came into the station to collect the items they won during the ‘Bids for Bargains” auction during the month of February. The anonymous survey asked the reader to check one of the following that best describes what they want to hear on the local radio:
• I love what you’re doing, please don’t change a thing.
• Classic Hits… with a newer, more upbeat mix of music in tune with today.
• Mainstream Country… love me some country, I’m a cowboy, baby.
• Classic rock… Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd rock my world.
