Adrien Snell was appointed to fill a three-months-long vacancy on the Page school board, according to Robert Kelty, Coconino County superintendent of schools.
Snell, who will be sworn into office in September, replaces Theresa White, who resigned in May. The term of office runs until Dec. 31, 2014.
The county first advertised for a replacement on May 28, and again on June 21 when unable to find a suitable candidate. Officials from the superintendentís office then traveled to Page July 16 to conduct a community forum about serving on the school board.
Kelty announced Snellís appointment Aug. 30 in an email.
