Posted: Wednesday, Jul 17th, 2013

Marian Kranzler passed away July 10, just three days before her 93rd birthday.

She was born July 13, 1920, to Myrtle and Dr. Cleveland Cherry at Redwood Falls, Minn., where she lived until going away to college at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.

After receiving her degree in nutrition, she managed a government cafeteria in Washington, D.C. for one year. She then moved to Indianapolis where she managed a hospital cafeteria.

From there she moved to Santa Ana, Calif., where she met Irvin in 1947. They were married Aug. 31, 1949.

Their son Kenneth Kranzler (Diane) was born in Santa Ana.

Marian is survived by her husband Irvin and son Kenneth.

Marian was a good painter of scenes in acrylic. She was also an excellent homemaker.

She is much missed but we know she is in a better place now.

Memorial services will be held July 20 at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church of Page, 213 S. Lake Powell Blvd.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the ministry of First Baptist Church of Page.
