Bassmaster magazine named Lake Powell the 44th best bass fishing spot in the United States. It was ranked 59th last year.

The huge leap up the charts moved it past the other Arizona lakes named in the publicationís second annual poll: Lake Havasu (46th this year; 33rd last year.), Apache Lake (61st/58th) and Roosevelt Lake (66th/24th). Lake Mead, Nev., is ranked 64th, dropping from 38th last year.
