Residents, business owners tell state lawmakers about issues with U.S. 89, ADOT

State Rep. Albert Hale was one of several members of the Native America caucus who attended a community forum at city hall.

Members of the Arizona state legislature’s Native American Caucus, in Page last week to tour the Navajo Generating Station, stopped by city hall to hear concerns from area residents and business owners.

The primary issue was the situation with the U.S. 89 closure, with a great deal of criticism aimed at detour signs posted by the Arizona Department of Transportation.
