Posted: Wednesday, Mar 27th, 2013

Montana Mitchell Havens passed away peacefully in his home on March 22, 2013. He was born a Christmas gift to Billy Joe Havens and Pamela (Maddux) Havens on Dec. 24, 1990, in Page. He grew up in many different cities in Arizona, including Page, Tucson, Kingman, and the Grand Canyon.

Montana was a very talented and creative guy. He was always drawing and recently started signing his work under the name “Bishop”. He was great at many sports but specifically loved to play soccer. He also loved to play video games with his friends and brothers. He enjoyed traveling and all types of scenery, especially Mt. Lemon in Tucson. Montana was a talented guitar player and singer, singing in the church choir and the Mohave Community Choir. He had an amazing sense of humor and could get anyone to smile, which was convenient because he always had a camera in his hand to capture the moment. Montana, also known as “Uncle T”, was a family man and spent most of his time being the best uncle in the world to his nieces.

Montana was a handsome warrior that battled and conquered Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma twice in his short but beautiful life. He loved life and found beauty in everything and everyone. He felt honored to serve the Lord by becoming an Elder and attending and participating in services at the LDS Temple in Las Vegas. 2013, would mark his second birthday after receiving his bone marrow transplant in 2011.
