Page school officials held a community meeting Feb. 28 to discuss transporting children from the Marble Canyon, Bitter Springs and Cedar Ridge areas in light of the collapse of U.S. Highway 89.
More than 80 people attended the meeting, which was held at the Bodaway/Gap Chapter House, according to Jim Walker, Page Unified School District superintendent.
Walker said the district has altered the dismissal time for the high school’s after-school programs from 6 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. for children living the affected communities.
