Big Water to assume water debt

The town of Big Water is taking the next step in regaining control over its water rights from the Glen Canyon Special Service District, by having the existing bonds re-issued in the name of the city, said Chair of the Water Board Heather Rankin.

The Big Water city council authorized the start of the transfer process, which will begin with a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on March 18 at town hall.
