Girls follow home win with loss at Ft. Defiance

Jessica Anderson snags a lob pass inside the key against the Panthers. She scored a team-high 18 points to lead the Sand Devils to a 40-38 home win Jan. 18. The game had been rescheduled from earlier in the season when inclement weather prevented Coconino from making the trip.

The momentum from a last-second victory over visiting Coconino failed to carry over to the Lady Sand Devils’ next game at Window Rock, as Page lost to the top-ranked Fighting Scouts.

Still, the Devils are well positioned for the post-season, ranked fifth among all Division III schools with a week left in the regular season.

Against the Panthers, Jordan Kensley hit a layup with three seconds left to lift Page to a 40-38 win.
