The city’s utility department is looking into piggybacking on the Navajo Nation’s plan to install a fiber network that would bring high-speed internet access to its citizens.
City council told Bryan Hill, general manager of Page Utilities Enterprise, to move forward with fact-finding, including hiring a business consultant to determine the financial implications.
He estimated the cost would be $30,000 to $40,000. The money would come from the enterprise fund, not the city’s general fund.
