With the wave of violent tragedies and natural disasters at the front of the news over the past several months, Page Unified School District reassures the public that safeguards are in place, and preparations have been made to handle most any situation.
The plan is described as a “multi-hazard plan that covers areas involved in a mass catastrophe, including working with other agencies,” said Page High School Assistant Dean Angelo Santana, who helps to oversee security issues for the district.
According to PUSD Superintendent Jim Walker, the district tapped Lenore Webber, an expert of sorts when it comes to risk management, to help formulate the best plan possible.
