Feds to work with stakeholders on NGS’s future

The Department of the Interior, Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency said they will form a working group dedicated to creating a “roadmap” for the future of the Navajo Generating Station.

“NGS owners and stakeholders and the federal government are working to ensure that the critical roles that NGS currently plays are maintained into the future while we continue to take steps to lower emissions from the NGS and protect the people and landscapes impacted by the plant’s operations,” the agencies said in a joint statement released Jan. 4.
