At 9 a.m. on Dec. 21, the Page Unified School District held a casual ceremony to swear in newly elected Irene Begaye-Jones (center) and returning members Sandra Kidman (right) and Martha Natonabah (left).
Begaye-Jones will be replacing Bill Justice on the board.
Coconino County Schools Superintendent Robert Kelty was not able to be present due to illness, so he guided the board members through the oath and congratulated them via teleconference.
The districtís governing board will hold its first meeting with Begaye-Jones as a sitting member on Jan 8. 2013, where there will be continued discussion on the proposed budget for the coming fiscal year.
