After a two-year absence, the Page campus of Coconino Community College will be offering a nursing assistant program, according to Don Johnson, the school’s allied health sciences coordinator and nursing director.
Johnson said the one-semester course, starting Jan. 28, involves 85 hours of class time and 40 hours of clinical practice working with patients.
Some of the courses required by the program are medical terminology and a nursing assistant clinical.
Upon completion of the program, students are eligible to take the Arizona State Board of Nursing written and skills test to become a licensed certified nursing assistant, according to Johnson.
