Tired of hearing the same songs no matter where you go? Tuesday’s Black is the answer to your woes. In an area that already features some very talented cover bands, Tuesday’s Black sets out as one of the few acts that exclusively play only original compositions.
Frontman for the group, Derek Williams explained, “We want to do more than just play instruments, we want to put some of ourselves into it.”
Williams said that he, James Hickman the bassist, Jeremy Poole the lead guitarist and Dave Cordova the drummer, all bring something to the table and all contribute in the song writing process.
The band completed their goal of putting out an album of original music earlier this year and according to Hickman, they are in the studio working on their next project, which he described to be much deeper.
On Sept. 29, the band will kick of a five-state fall tour as they roll through Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Utah, getting back just in time to rock the house on Halloween at the Gunsmoke.
“I really enjoy performing live, the satisfaction that it is my own music, it is something I’ve wanted to do since a young age. It is something special to me,” Hickman said.
