Benefit golf tournament

On Sept.8, the 2012 Northern Arizona two-person scramble championship to benefit Coconino Community College will be held at the Lake Powell National Golf Course.

The entry fee is $200 per team or $100 per individual. With the expected 50 two-person team enrollment the prize purse is estimated to be $4,500.

Any hole-in-one on a par three will be awarded a special prize and a hole-in-one on the sixth wins a new car from Lake Powell Ford.

Team scramble handicaps will be assigned based on a proprietary scramblecap system that will be based on established and estimated handicaps. Individual scramblecaps will be added together for the team scramblecap.

Team members will have a maximum handicap of 30 with a maximum difference between team members of 10. Each team member will use nine tee shots.
