Do you want to deepen your prayer life, but don’t know how to begin? Or maybe you think you just can’t find the “right” words? Then “centering prayer” may be just the way for you to find a more fulfilling relationship with God.
Kathalin Walker will begin leading weekly centering prayer sessions on July 18 at 6:15 p.m. in the sanctuary at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Each session will last about 45 minutes, consisting of a brief introduction, 20 minutes of silence and an opportunity to discuss what is being experienced.
Centering prayer is a practice of setting our intention to consent to God’s presence and action within us. It is a gentle way of affirming our intention to place ourselves at God’s disposal.
If you would like to participate, feel free to start any time. Centering prayer will be offered every Wednesday at 6:15 pm starting July 18.
St. David’s is at 421 S. Lake Powell Blvd. at Aqua Avenue.
All are welcome to attend. For more information, please call Jody Gebhardt at St. David’s, 645-4965.
