LECHEE — Navajo Department of Public Safety criminal investigators are concluding they may never know what caused Truman Tracy, 23, of LeChee to commit murder-suicide on July 7.

According to NDPS spokesperson Albert Nez, officers responded to a call at 4:16 p.m. from witnesses reporting hearing gunfire coming from a home west of milepost 2 on Coppermine Road.

Area law enforcement officers discovered Tracy and Kelly Joe, 21, of Coppermine lying on the ground after being shot with a semi-automatic 5.45-by-39 caliber weapon.
