Great Lakes Aviation to help Page Community Center

Modified: Thursday, Aug 29th, 2013

Great Lakes Aviation is helping in the battle to fight hunger with its 5th Annual “Flyin’ 4 Food” campaign to benefit the Page Community Center.

Today, there are more than 48 million Americans (16.2 million children) experiencing the harsh reality of hunger. In fact, 14.5 percent of all households in the United States are struggling with not having enough food. These statistics are staggering, and just a small snapshot of the true impact hunger has on our nation.

This September, Great Lakes Airlines and the Page Community Center need your help to end hunger in your community.

In honor of Hunger Action Month, when you bring any non-perishable food item to the Great Lakes counter throughout the month of September, you’ll be eligible for a chance to win one of four round-trip tickets between Page and Denver, Phoenix, or Los Angeles.

Donate as much food as you like, however, only one entry per person, per week is permitted. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Page Municipal Airport, 238 10th Avenue. Weekend hours are limited.

To purchase tickets on Great Lakes Airlines, visit www.flygreatlakes.com, call the Great Lakes’ reservation center at 800-554-5111, or contact your travel agent.
