You can feel the history at El Tovar

For the second year in a row Frank and I celebrated our wedding anniversary by taking a beautiful drive to the Grand Canyon and spending a night at the El Tovar Hotel.

This year we had weather that ranged from dense fog to rain. I felt sorry for the people that had traveled a long distance only to find that the canyon was obscured by fog. If they spent more than a few hours driving along the rim, the fog would drift in and out with quick peeks at what laid below.
