As we celebrate Thanksgiving this week, the Lord has been showing me all that I have to thank Him and praise Him for bringing into my life. Most of my blessings are within 50 feet of my house, although some are as far away as North Carolina.†
I am first and foremost blessed with a wonderful wife who has walked this path with me for a little more than 40 years now. We have two children who have been a blessing to us for more than 33 years, even though they donít live in town any more.
I look at all the ways God has provided so much more than the basic needs for us. We have a house that is more than adequate, filled with furniture and other items that God has helped us accumulate through the years. We have cars to drive that are paid for, even though they are not new. We have been blessed to the point that we have a hard time Christmas shopping for each other because there is so little we really need.
God has blessed us with an amazing place to live and work. Every morning we get to look in any direction and see the beauty of His creation. Iím not convinced that we could ever live here long enough to see all the beauty with which He has surrounded us. Millions of people pay a lot of money to come from all over the world to see what we get to see every day.†May we never take that for granted. For the complete article see the 11-21-2012 issue.
