Lino Footracer

Chances are, if your child was at any of the schools in the Page Unified School District over the past four years, they have had Lino Footracer as their substitute teacher at one time or another.

Footracer, 29, grew up in Page and is a Page High graduate. He spent two years on a mission for the LDS church in upstate New York, before returning to the area and earning an undergraduate degree in sociology.

I wanted to go into law enforcement originally, stated Footracer, who also earned a certificate in law and society. However, when he returned to Page he found a job as a substitute teacher for the entire district, covering preschool to high school.

I thought it would be just for a couple of months and then I would find another career, but little did I know that I would fall in love with working with kids. A lot of times they teach me more than I teach them.
