Adams is new city manager

Page City Council on Feb. 7 approved Donald Adams as new city manager.

Adams, the economic development director for the city of Taylorsville, Utah, was chosen from among four finalists who interviewed with the council in December 2013.

His tentative start date is Feb. 24 and his salary is $105,000, according to the City Clerk Kim Larson.

Outgoing City Manager Rick Olson announced his resignation in July 2013, effective in November 2013. When council could not find a replacement by then, he was appointed interim city manager.

The council received about 35-40 applications.

Adams was appointed Taylorsvilleís economic development director in September 2011 after serving as an aide to the cityís mayor, handling project management and grant management.

Adams has a masterís degree in planning from the University of Southern California

He served as economic development director for The Downtown Alliance of Salt Lake City and as planning and economic development director for the city of Riverton, Utah.
