There was a whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on during the “Blast from the Past” celebration Feb. 9 at the Elks Lodge as some 150 people turned out at the benefit for deployed local service members.
Area businesses and organizations sponsored the 1950s-themed party, which featured Nashville Express playing a wide range of hits from the era. Locals dressed up and gave performances as icons of the decade. Jason Larson, of Zion’s Way, was Buddy Holly, Manny Parks, pastor of Faith Bible Church, was the Big Bopper and Ned Aragon was Elvis.
