Business has been good this season in Page, with many local companies seeing higher than average to record-breaking numbers.
Former tourism director Vin Paitoon said this year was a huge year for many merchants, and from what he has witnessed many of the tourism related businesses had record numbers both in revenue and in visitors.
He attributes the general increase in traffic to the way word about the area has spread through new forms of technology.
Mark Law, president of the board of directors at the Powell Museum, said that since the museum has taken over the responsibilities of the visitor center, overall visitation numbers from April through October have been up 20 percent.
