PAGE — Coconino Community College’s proposed 2012-13 budget calls for a 2 percent increase in county property taxes.
This year’s budget totals about $17 million, which is a one percent increase from last year’s.
Jami Van Ess, president of CCC’s Business and Administrative Services, presented the budget to the school’s district board of governors April 26 at a meeting held in Page.
For a home with an assessed value of $100,000, the proposal would increase the property tax from $37.99 to $38.75.
The final budget will be adopted at a special meeting to be held May 22 on the Lone Tree campus in Flagstaff.
CCC’s budget includes $55,500 in upgrades for the Page campus, which will receive some new paint and a chip seal coat in the parking lot.
