William Thomas Self Jr., a caring man with a huge heart

William Thomas Self Jr., alias, W.T., was born Nov. 22, 1946, in Globe, Ariz., to Ida and William Self.

On Nov. 13, 2012, Bill went to be with our Heavenly Father.

Bill moved to Page in 1959 and served this community in many capacities. Shortly after moving to Page, he joined the Army and served his country for the next four years. Upon returning home, Bill joined the Page Police Department and over the next 16 years of service filled the positions of Patrolman, Detective and Sergeant.

His continued service for Page did not end there, he continued working for the City of Page for the next 25 plus years.

Bill married Rebecca Hanks Aug. 1 1977. They had two sons, Michael Paul Self and Mark Thomas Self.

Bill Self was a very generous and caring man with a huge heart who gave a great deal to many.

Bill is survived by his wife Becky Self, his two sons Mark and Michael Self, three beautiful grandchildren, Adam Sobern, Eden Harrison, Micah Harrison, two sisters, Donna Derek and Louise Reyes. He also had one brother Randy Self who he is with now. Bill will be greatly missed by many including his two faithful companions Yoda and Hash.

A service will be held at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Curch in Page at 10:30 a.m. on Nov. 24.
