Geraldine Storey Stapp

Geraldine Storey Stapp, of Page stepped into eternity on Aug. 21, 2012, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease.

She was born Nov. 21, 1928, to Samuel and Thelma Storey in Water Valley, Ark. She married Thomas Burton Stapp Jr. on Aug. 29, 1948, in Springfield, Mo.

Gerri, as people knew her, was a strong, intelligent woman of God and was loved by all who knew her.

She embodied the persona of a “Proverbs 31” woman. She was a published writer who also loved to sew, cook and serve at her church and in her community.

She and Tom loved to travel with friends and family, as well as going fishing and camping.

Gerri is survived by her husband Thomas Stapp, daughter Sandra Lynn Banks, grandchildren Tammie Lynn Tap Smith, Matthew Samuel Murdock, Jon Albert Banks and Jennifer Elisa Banks, five great grandchildren and and two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Church of Nazarene of Page.
