Elsie R. Hope fulfilled her life’s dream to own a horse ranch

Elsie R. Hope passed away July 8, 2012, at her home in Page at the age of 73. She was born and raised in Bisbee, Ariz. where she married and had two children. She relocated with her children to Marengo, Ill., to fulfill her life’s dream of owning and operating an Appaloosa horse ranch.

She moved to Page in 1993 and loved the lake and fishing very much.

She will be missed and she deeply touched all who knew her. She is survived by her life partner Roger Gawith of Page, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Librado Mondragon also of Page, sister Benjy Marks of New Mexico and her son Michael Leon of Tucson.

Elsie had three grand children and three great-grand children, and was preceded in death by her parents William and Avis White.
