She was born March 27, 1923, in Missouri to Lula Piland and John J. Andrew. She married Robert John Hoodenpyle on Oct. 14, 1946. He died in January of 1999.

William Vearl Hurd (Curly) passed away peacefully at 5:45 a.m., on July 29, 2014, in Muskogee, Okla., due to a long illness.
